Unexpected Visit

The East Bay needs to sort things out with its wildlife. On Monday evening in Castro Valley a deer smashed through the living room window of the home of John and Loretta Starkweather. After the homeowners threw a few pillows and tried to coax the deer to the nearest door, the animal made a run for the front door and escaped. "I'm thinking about getting some bars on the windows, not to keep out the bad guys, but to keep out the deer," John Starkweather said. [Oakland Tribune]
