If you've ever wondered what it would be like to live beneath the warehouse ceilings of a converted loft and wake up to the cold touch of polished concrete beneath your feet, then hosts Aaron & Nate in this former Sears Department store located in the Transmission will rent you their "sleeping nook" for a mere $40 a night. The common space admittedly has an inspiring, shabby-chic charm to it, but your sleep quarters are little more than a futon mattress separated by drapes from the kitchen directly below. We reckon that forty bucks is a lot cheaper than trying to renovate an old cannery yourself though.
