Heavy Metals: Slayer May be Fun but Arsenic is Still Bad For You

Sure, you love your local farmer's market, but sometimes don't you get the urge to grow your own lettuces and tomatoes to go with all the artisanal bacon that's available? Before you go digging up your yard, or for that matter, the community garden plot you just scored after years on a waiting list, we suggest you get the soil tested. You have no idea what's in there- dirt pretty much looks like dirt. And even if you'rejust growing herbs it's a good idea. Especially if you're planning on smoking them rather than upgrading a pork roast. Your favorite search engine will turn up a number of places to get your soils tested. Better Soils is just one of them. Worst case? Raised beds.
