Street Parking in SF: The New Paridigm

Still one of our favorite videos, done in an animated tone and style that would probably make "you've got gonorrhea" go down easy, as the SFMTA tries to make variable rate parking comprehensible. Your terror may be mitigated by the promise of more available parking spaces and a drop in rates in some areas. Supposedly the program means more parking spaces for retail, street-level businesses, but doesn't address two demographics: the park-all-day-for-free crowd with a handicapped placard and the feed-the-meter-all-day merchants who want to park in front of his/her store. We like the opportunities for traffic calming. Previously at Streetsblog SF but since the Youtube version only had 1227 views (as of this morning) we decided not enough people had seen it.
