Langton Street got some trees! FolSoMa (Ed. Note: doesn't this sound like some type of new dietary drug?), the microhood around Folsom between 7th and 8th Streets is doing its best to make the 'hood just a wee bit nicer, especially for the growing amount of small children in the neighborhood. This past weekend community members were given several trees from the Friends of the Urban Forest, which were then immediately planted. The trees will "help soften the part of the street next to the oil-change place - a particularly gritty stretch marked by a chain link fence." [BuboBlog]
