Cohen Alley: Not a Moment Too Soon

It's been two decades in the making, but the Cohen Alley Project via the gallery/performance space The Luggage Store AKA the Tenderloin National Forest is being honored with a San Francisco Beautification Award. While one might say this particular alley had nowhere to go but up, we won't. We do want to know who this Cohen person was and how he/she got an alley named after him/her/them. Other deserving recipients of awards this year are Mint Plaza, The Lands End enhancement project and the Pennsylvania Garden.
