On September 3rd, 2010, Planned Parenthood Golden Gate located at 815 Eddy Street will be no more. the Board of Planned Parenthood Federation of America voted to revoke the trademark, releasing a statement saying that the only San Francisco Planned Parenthood clinic was not meeting "our standards for administrative and fiscal management." Planned Parenthood Golden Gate will continue to run its clinics in Hayward, Oakland, San Rafael, Rohnert Park and San Mateo. In the meantime, staff at the clinic are holding a contest to come up with a new name, because they are keeping the space and will continue to operate under a new name.
