However, the monthly HOA dues of $1,789 is making our head spin. The unit that's up for grabs is a 2-bed, 2-bath, 1,650 square foot condo that was just listed for $1,150,000, that's $697 a square foot. Located on the 5th floor, it's one of 20 units in the building. The Homeowners Association covers the water, gas, heat, garbage, door person, insurance, and management. Not the bat cave. Not the dog run. Not the outdoor heated pool. Not the 5,000 square foot indoor gym. Hell, you can't even have a "large dog," only lap animals. We understand that this is a prime piece of real estate tail, but HOA dues that are 2.5x higher than the actual price per square foot of your condo? That just seems ludicrous.
