The listing says "multi-generational" but we're thinking Olde Berkeley and going with "commune" although "group living" is probably more current. Also "multi-level", with six bedrooms and four baths. The listing also says "1965" but the pictures indicate a few major and skillful interventions- that fireplace is right out of a Post-Modernist's playbook. Whatever the story here, it looks to be a swell house if you don't hate Douglas Fir almost everywhere. Up in the hills of Berkeley, asking $1,750,000, and looks ready to move into.
