Parks and rec (and drama)

New, 2 comments

After 65 years, the family that runs the Stow Lake Boathouse in Golden Gate Park will have some competition. Parks and Rec Department officials chose Ortega Family Enterprises - which has a history of reorganizing park concessions - to possibly replace longtime manager Bruce McLellan. The motivation behind the change is the 30 to 40 percent increase in revenue they expect. If approved on August 19th, Ortega will replace the boats with new ones and build a cafe. No worries, though.
