Barbary Coast Action, $700K

New, 5 comments

If didn't realize you could live in the Jackson Square neighborhood, there's hope- an adaptive reuse of a 1911 building, a Sagan-Piechota/LDA Architects project from a few years back in the previously-notorious district once known as the Barbary Coast. Smallish one bedroom/one bath, seriously nice kitchen, no parking, asking $700K. Literally steps from the Artemide store (for fans of Tolomeo LED task lamps!), Design Within Reach, and the best of all, the landmark William Stout Architectural Books emporium. Finding a cup of coffee, um, not so sure. In other words, the hookers and sailors wouldn't recognize their old neighborhood.
