Profile of John Warnecke, Prolific Architect

Today the Chron recalls John Warnecke, the gentlemanly Bay Area architect who died last month at the age of 91. Warnecke was responsible for a number of high-profile buildings here, including the silvery Hilton Hotel tower in Union Square and Opera Plaza on Van Ness. He later designed John F. Kennedy's grave site at Arlington. [SFGate]
