The California College of the Arts worries that the lack of housing for its students forces them to get their own apartments and takes "family housing off the market." In an interview with the SF Business Times, CCA's planning director describes an "unfettered success" of a trial in which they, along with the culinary academy and UC Hastings, have filled extra spots in a UCSF Mission Bay dorm. Next step: a permanent "superdorm" somewhere in the city that would similarly house students from multiple schools. [SFBT]
