When we saw 3540 Rivera we thought, "Pretty nice place for the price, and with a detached garage." Until we looked a little closer and realized the 2 bed, 2 bath place is the detached garage. Yes, only $629,900 gets you this "resort style home" near the beach. But with only 980 square feet, and at $643 a square foot, it doesn't seem like much of a bargain anymore.
Just back on the market today, it's changed hands quite a bit since 2005, when it sold for $455,000. It's listed as being sold in January for $597,500, and lord knows what they've done to the place to justify raising the price. But if you're looking for a surf hut, who knows, it might be just the place for you. Broker Lance Snedden says "Natural light enhances interior asthetics," but remember most of the time that natural light is going to be decidedly gray.
