This morning, activists were scheduled to descend on a City Operations and Neighborhood Services Committee meeting to air grievances over an incident in which an ex-SFPD officer hired by Lennar came to an EPA-sponsored meeting about toxicity at Hunters Point carrying a gun. The meeting, held at the Nation of Islam's community center and mosque back in February, featured a citizens arrest of the former officer by Brother Mark Muhammad (pictured, via Facebook), who reported to the police that he was subsequently stalked and intimidated. And we can now add accusations of intimidation of community activists by gun-wielding thugs to the radioactive stew of controversy that is Hunters Point Redevelopment. [SF Bay View]
