SoMa House Has Gone From Rusty Junkyard to Smooth and Silver

The return of the Jim Jennings-designed SoMa house at 464 Tehama elicited a few comments on a change to the building's rusted metal facade. Indeed — gone are the days of junkyard grunge. The building, in fact, had opted after some time in favor of the smoother, shinier Apple Store aesthetic, as seen above. Was it just that the rust wasn't screaming "home sweet home" for the owners?
