CurbedWire: SF's Shrinking Condo Market

Yesterday, a speaker at the 555 Washington hearing noted said that there are fewer than 800 condo units in San Francisco available now, compared to around 1,500 to 1,600 a year ago. The speaker, who works for condo-marketer The Mark Company, was speaking to the general contraction of the condo market here — an idea reiterated in a note from the Infinity's PR people today. In the smaller fish pond, they say, Infinity still managed to close on 88 units in the fourth quarter of 2009, while their "next closest competitor" was Soma Grand, with 24 closings. [Curbed Inbox]
