China's aiming for contracts on the U.S.'s new high-speed-rail buildout, though specificity's low on what projects they're aiming for exactly. (There are only a handful at most, including California's, so it's not that hard to guess.) According to their railways minister, China wants to share their "mature and advanced" technology with the world, though even waist-deep in their own rapid high-speed rail buildout, their trains utilize Japanese, French, and German technology — as they have yet to commercialize their own.[AP]
