In a story about the dramatic drop in California's million-dollar-home sales — 23.8 percent down between '08 and '09 — the Chron also talks up the new, "frugal aesthetic" of the indigenous millionaire. No longer driving Porsches around, no longer looking for "bragging rights." The new, humble million-dollar-home buyer isn't a Wall Street type, but "local entrepreneurs, people who've quietly worked hard forever and ever to build up their own business." It might not be entirely believable, but at least it's cute. [SFGate]
