A half a year's time has made a big difference for 465 Hoffman, a Group 41 design that debuted in May 2009 to a cocktail party and an asking price of $3.9 million. The 4-bed, 4.5-bath house has 4,400 square feet, and should aspire, judging by architect Joel Karr's standards, to being "both aesthetically challenging and functionally perfect." But putting aside the wordage for a sec: if the August chop to $3,495,000 was dramatic, this one, with almost a quarter off the top, has to raise an eyebrow or two. Question is: will there be more?
