Storefronting: Uniqlo Headed to SF

New, 18 comments

Uniqlo, a.k.a. the "Japanese Gap," has $11 billion to blow on acquisitions and expansions, and has decided that "major urban areas that are more accepting of foreign brands" will be the company's future targets. In the next two to three years, the retailer's planning more shops beyond its lone American one in New York — more in NYC, but in San Francisco and L.A. too. Former Virgin Megastore, anyone? [WSJ]
