Lennar's BLU has scored KRON4's "prestigious honor" of Best of the Bay 2009, in the condo category. The viewer-driven award allows any business or institution to be nominated and voted for in a bunch of different categories — though it does appear BLU was the only condo building to be nominated for 2009. Meanwhile, in apartment nominations, San Francisco's only entrant was the Gateway, that decades-old urban renewal project near the Embarcadero. [Best of the Bay, via Curbed Inbox]
