House That Bookends Postcard Row, 722 Steiner, Selling Under $4M

New, 9 comments

The almost Painted Lady, 722 Steiner, is on the market now. The 1892 Alamo Square building that bookends Postcard Row is also the one that never quite fit in with its sisters. It was built by developer Matthew Kavanaugh, who built the entire 700 block of Steiner, and has lately been available for parties and other such rental uses. Now it's looking for a real owner — the listing and/or official site haven't hit the web yet, but public records have the building at 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, and 3,031 square feet. According to the press release, the house is asking "just under $4 million."

Update: And by under $4 mil, they meant $3,999,999. The house has 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and 4,692 square feet.

Update 2: Now with gallery!
