The US General Services Administration has updated their green building standards to require LEED Gold certification on all forthcoming federal government projects over 10,000 square feet. The new standard, a step up from the previous requirement of LEED Silver certification, is being touted as one of the many ways "to help deliver on President Obama's commitment to increase sustainability and energy efficiency across government."
