Bike Safety

Bicycle collisions are on the rise, according to the latest report from the Municipal Transportation Agency. In 2008 there were 468 injury collisions involving bicyclists, which is higher than the 451 recorded in 2007 and 343 in 2006. Bert Hill, who's the chair of the Bicycle Advisory Committee said "there seems to be an increased number of injuries in the past two years, but it's hard to tell if that's a reporting issue or because there are a lot more bicyclists now."
