Sunset Cottage Takes Major Hack

New, 4 comments
Was: $799,000
Now: $649,000
You Save: $150,000

Many moons ago (late October) we told you about a 1904 Victorian cottage that sits deep in a lot in the Outer Sunset. It's a 2-bed, 1-bath that was listed for $799,000. To say it was a "fixer-upper" would be an understatement. But there was something magical about it. Perhaps it was the spooky gate that separated it from the street. Or maybe it was the fire engine red kitchen flooring. No, it was definitely the clawfoot tub underneath the stairs on the backyard deck. Or was it the potentially awesome attic? Regardless, the DIY in us thought it was the perfect pad, aside from the price. Well, we went searching to see if it had sold or asking or maybe reduced the price a bit. And boy oh boy, did it! $150,000 off in early November. Someone is desperate to sell, are we right? What do you think, readers? Will this shack on a pretty lot sell for $649,000? Or should we expect another major hacking?
