Today the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency announced that it's installed the 100th new transit shelter. Olle Lundberg of Lundberg Design designed the shelter, citing the Golden Gate Bridge and the hills of the city as inspiration. The City has a contract with Clear Channel to develop, design and fabricate the new shelters. The contract requires the company to provide the new shelters and replace the existing 1,100 shelters no later than the end of 2013. [SF Streetsblog]
