Suburban Life in an Urban Jungle

Ever wanted to live in the forest in San Francisco? Now's your chance! 2760 19th Ave in West Portal is engulfed with vegetation and directly across from Stern Grove. But you have to cross extremely busy 19th Ave, so it's your call. The unit is a 1-bed, 2-bath and 1,240 square feet. The listing states there's a 2nd bedroom, but it's really just a room with a bunch of built-ins and no closet. It's a den. Or an office. Or a bedroom if you're not into having clothing. The condo's fine and all. It's got a lot of white wall and white carpet. But can we please discuss the monstrosity that is the kitchen? If we're feeling quirky, we could perhaps see the wallpaper working. But goodness, not with that countertop! Why oh why would anyone do such a thing? We also think that the current owners went on a wallpapering rampage, because an otherwise drab bathroom has black and white wallpaper that's making our head spin. Or perhaps that's the cranberry martini that we just taste tested for tomorrow's dinner. Either way, the unit is $529,000 and has monthly HOA dues of $623.91.
