In 2002 the Bay Area Toll Authority toyed with the idea of building a bridge from San Lorenzo to San Bruno. It fell flat. Today, though, authorities are thinking that perhaps it is needed, and they're willing to shell out $400,000 (funded by existing bridge tolls) to start a study to determine if a bridge is necessary.
