Park(ing) Day Will Be Every Day!

The city has approved the last three permanent pedestrian plazas that will fall under their temporary Pavement to Parks project. After the success of the "Castro Commons" plaza at 17th and Market in the Castro a slew of businesses applied for similar accommodations. The last three plazas will actually only be parking spaces, not entire streets, but they do receive financial support from the city. "The temporary Pavement to Parks project established an organized system for anyone who wants to try it out in their neighborhood, but now they will have to do it on their own dime." Bummer.
