The Chronicle comments board is on fire today after the most recent article describing a "wet house" in Seattle. Derided by many as "bunks for drunks," proponents of the program claim a wet house would save taxpayers millions of dollars and improve quality of life for all citizens by taking in homeless chronic inebriates and letting them continue to drink under supervision. The big question is: where would they put this type of residence in San Francisco? Tell us, dear readers, do you think there's a neighborhood of well-meaning, bleeding heart YIMBY's that would accept such a place? [SF Gate]
