Following that vicious attack on the Golden Gate Park Rose Garden back in August, the Recreation and Parks Department has been hit by another rash of vandalism. This time around a vehicle was used to tear up the fairways and greens of holes 6, 7 and 8 on the Golden Gate Park Gold Course. The much loved and family friendly nine-hole course is mostly maintained by Rec and Park gardener Omar Dudum, which makes this story particularly heartbreaking. The estimated damage totals at least $75,000 and Richmond Station officers have a few leads they're following up on, but in the meantime the public can reach the SFPD's anonymous tipline at (415) 575-4444 or via text message to TIP411.
