The Invasion

Bedbugs, the insect that is basically impossible to get rid of, has come out in full force because of the bay area's recent heat wave. "Bedbugs thrive in temperatures of 70 and above, with the females laying more eggs and eggs hatching more quickly in the heat." The bulk of the problem is in SF's Tenderloin district. However, bedbugs are freakishly good at moving from neighborhood to neighborhood, so be prepared (especially renters). [SFist]
