BART in the 'Burbs

New, 8 comments

BART is opening its 44th station next year in the East Bay between the Castro Valley and Dublin/Pleasanton stations, which are ten miles apart. Today the BART board of directors will hold a public hearing to discuss its astronomical fare proposals, like how it'll cost $21 for a two-way ticket from the new location to SFO. Also on the agenda: feedback on the proposed parking lot that'll have 1,190 spaces. BART officials predict that the new station should expect 3,600 daily passengers. [SF Examiner]
