Nob Hill Parisienne Loses $40,000

New, 2 comments
Was: $898,000
Now: $858,000
You Save: $40,000

Just a few short weeks after it popped up on the market in September, the single family home at 12 Auburn, with it's Latin Quarter-via-Bayview exterior and nonexistent bathtub has chopped $40,000 off the asking price. As several commenters have pointed out, life on Auburn alley in "Mongolia" (between Russian Hill and Chinatown, obviously) isn't all it's cracked up to be. Even the charm of using Cable Cars as your primary mode of transportation wears off when you start hearing noises from the Cable Car Museum power station in the wee hours of the morning. Now that it's sitting at $858,000, do we feel any better about zero outdoor space? Or should we hold out for another dip in price and put the difference towards some nice rooftop fixtures?
