The Chron reports that the Doyle Drive remake is going to get real for drivers this Sunday, when that curvy connection between northbound 101 and southbound Highway 1 shuts down for three years. Three years! The "seemingly sudden" kickstart to the project comes via a $50 million stimulus infusion, which will — wonder of wonders — help finish the new, partially sunken Doyle Drive, aka Presidio Parkway, before schedule. That is, by early 2013. Knock wood. [SFGate]
