Efficiency and a Murphy Bed in the Tenderloin for $1,200 a Month

New, 12 comments

The 1906 Book Concern building in the Tenderloin is special for its "efficiency lofts," no less excellent a way to sell units that range from 270 to 425 square feet. (We needed a new word for "cozy.") Anyway, with a number of schools nearby, the tiny units might actually appeal to students. Plus, it's old, and old means classy. The building's got laundry, a gym (!), a rooftop deck, and storage. The studio itself's got "black-out blinds" and a Murphy bed, for $1,200 a month.
