The number of businesses that shuttered in San Francisco last year was more than 60 percent more than the previous year, and the number of new businesses that opened also dropped. It's not a pretty sight — one watcher notes it's partly because landlords aren't adjusting their rates accordingly, and businesses put up for sale are "overpriced." [SF Examiner]
