It's man vs. nature in Pacifica's real-life eroding-sea-cliff drama. Neighbors and other such gawkers are totally riveted to the unfolding scene, with one calling it "a joke. It feels like little boys playing with toys and losing." But if the owners of the evacuated buildings are putting up big money to stabilize the cliff, there's at least an upside for someone else: "These homes across the street will now have an ocean view."
