Even if the current North Beach library is deemed historic and thus made immune to demolition, plans shall remain largely unchanged. Says the city librarian: "The plan is to proceed with a new library in the triangle site." That's some determination— could it be the citizens advisory chair was mistaken when she asserted that the city librarian was against a library on the Triangle? In any case, having two separate North Beach branches sitting side by side can only be win-win. Kidding, folks. Kidding. [SF Examiner, previously]
