That's Rather Lov— Oh Wait, That's What It Looks Like?

A reader writes in about 45 Hallam St., a tri-level townhome tucked away in an alley off Folsom Street. Built in 1989, the $495,000 home was designed by one Donald McDonald (who can argue with a name like that?) along with a few sibling units. The 650 square footer has, along with its remodeled kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a backyard with garden, and one parking space. Last went in 2004 for $467,500, making the new asking price a modest gain if we've ever seen one. Altogether, not too shabby— until you see the exterior. Curious! (The listing doesn't include an exterior shot of the place... those are furnished by Curbed.)
