A project manager for the 900 Folsom + 260 5th St project left us a note yesterday explaining what's really going up on those two lots: "We have not elected to keep the warehouse and adaptively reuse it. ... We are required to study a project that would preserve the facade. The project that the developer has worked on with the community for over 2 years is still the project we are seeking approval for, and is identified as such in the EIRs." In other words, developer AGI Capital still plans to take down the two-story warehouse at 5th and Folsom and replace it with a nine-story building with 179 residential units (draft image above).
