Construction's still ongoing at Plaza Adelante, a converted warehouse at 19th and Mission. When it's done, it'll host a handful of neighborhood nonprofits. And also ground floor retail at $3 per square foot. What a deal! Well, they have to recoup their $9 million investment somehow. And then there's the $100,000 grant from the Columbia Foundation to the Mission Economic Development Authority -- nonprofits ain't cheap! Check out the project's Flickr stream for interior photos -- as of last April, it was looking a little, er, post-apocalyptic.
