There's a tree tour coming up! They're going to be visiting "the best trees in the city" -- but as far as we're concerned they're ALL the best. A biodiesel bus will ferry the tour across town to see landmark trees. (We wonder if they'll get to see the mysterious manzanita!) The tour happens Saturday, August 22, from 1:30 to 4:30pm, starting at the eucalyptus on the corner of 1801 Bush Street. You know the one.
And if you can't make it to the tour, DON'T WORRY. Check out the map of landmark trees and tour on your own time. Or if you're even more ambitious, go on a tour of significant palm trees, brought to us by celebrity palm cultivator Jason Dewees. To learn more about the manzanita and urban forestry, please visit your local library.
