Potential New Addition to Hayes Valley

New, 9 comments

SFJAZZ, the nonprofit that runs the San Francisco Jazz Festival (in addition to a slew of other concerts), is fixin' to build a concert hall in Hayes Valley. Hayes Valley! The organization owns and is about to tear down an auto body shop on Franklin Street, between Linden and Fell streets. They're planning to build a 9,500 square foot theater with seating for up to 750 people. Clearly this is in its really early baby stage, but the proposal is already on San Francisco's really speedy (that's sarcasm) building-approval process. We hope this happens. [SF Examiner]
