Here in SF, urban hikers have it easy: outside of every single front door in the city awaits a scenic stroll. (This is just one of the ways in which we are distinct from, for example, Gary, Indiana.) But where are the best hikes? Guidespot has some suggestions. They've collected tales of excellent hikes around the city, and while some aren't exactly surprising (Sutro Baths, Golden Gate Park, ho hum) others may be new to you. Glen Canyon is somewhat less-traveled-by, and the Yoga Hike sounds enervating. And we've never been to Fort Funston, but based on the name we are going to assume that it is a delightful inflated bouncy-castle.
But what's this? Robin Williams' house is on the list for some reason. That hardly seems to qualify, unless we are talking about a scenic hike that tours the locations from Mrs. Doubtfire. And no mention of the delightful hidden alleys of Nob Hill! What an oversight.
