Mill Valley Middle School Goes Above and Beyond

New, 1 comment

This video will warm even the coldest of hearts. Mill Valley Middle School: 6th, 7th and 8th graders gathered on the school grounds to perform a disco dance. Dance coach and choreographer Cynthia Glinka got the idea after the organization Kiddo realized they had extra funds available for dance programs. The video shows the kids and teachers enjoying themselves while dancing. It also has footage of the students and teachers talking about why it was very beneficial to everyone involved. It reminds us of the great TED talk where Sir Ken Robinson stresses the importance of incorporating dance into schools. With videos like the one above, it's clear that kids enjoy it and get the exercise they need. Now, how do we get Cynthia Glinka into San Francisco?
