ConstructionWatch: Mission Mess Looking Solid

New, 10 comments

Hard to believe that around this time last year, the Mission in the immediate vicinity of 18th and Valencia was in near meltdown at the prospect of a massive, 50-foot, mural-blocking condo project. Well massive maybe in those quaint days. But we've since seen much bigger, much hulkier projects threatening our peaceful village lives— with much more glass to boot. In any case, the frame on 700 Valencia, designed by Y.A. Studio, is going up rather briskly now, and we're looking at a spring 2010 finish date for the nine units of luxury condos. Density and gentrification: go.
