CurbedWire: Topography on a Tile

New, 14 comments

Conor Fennessy Antiques and Design dropped us a line to talk about "San Francisco Terrain," a 10-by-10-inch sculpted piece of gypsum tile that depicts the topography of the city. Last year, according to Fennessy, the Mayor's Office adopted the piece as a gift for visiting dignitaries. He adds, "After receiving so much inspiration in San Francisco I began to wonder why that was, and I’ve come to believe that what is special about San Francisco is the actual site, the terrain." It's cooler than Google Maps, that's for sure. [CurbedWire Inbox]
