Better Place, the local company that promises to dot San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland with 250,000 electric-vehicle charging stations and 100 battery-swap spots with an investment of $1 billion, has released a video showing just how it'll all work. Recall that there was some speculation the plan would be ruined by "a jumble of battery types from various automakers." No word on how they'll clear this hurdle (presumably by pushing a battery standard), but the video does show how the battery swap takes place. Via robot slaves.
